i think i’m finally coming to terms with how you’re maybe having a hard time with this move.
it hasn’t been super tough. you resisted our leaving the room at bedtime for the first couple of days, but then you were fine. after about a week now, you’re starting to show more resistance. you want longer snuggles. you hear too many noises outside. you wanna watch the cars. you’re hungry. i’ve lost my patience.
i’m sorry.
tomorrow, we’ll talk about how we miss home. that this is a big transition, and it might feel like a big loss. not being around our cousins all the time, around our AY. WP.
you just woke up to pee and go back to bed by yourself.
you start school on monday. you told me how you’re gonna invite all your friends to your house. after our meet & greet yesterday, you told me you asked one friend to play, but he didn’t answer you. we talked about speaking louder and making eye contact to make sure our friends hear us.
you hung out with E (3 year old neighbor) at the pool today. and her best friend, B.
cute things from your mouth:
- thank you (alllll the time nowadays)
- let’s play twenty more questions
- mama, look. this is what R’s penis looks like! pulls back head
